Brick Bay Folly competition 2019
The Brick Bay Sculpture Trust invites proposals for the 5th annual Brick Bay Folly competition.
The competition winners will receive a grant to the value of $30,000 to allow them to develop an execute a design-build project that explores contemporary interpretations of the architectural folly. The completed folly will then be exhibited at Brick Bay Wines and Sculpture in Matakana.
The object of the competition is to support emerging New Zealand architects or students studying an accredited New Zealand architecture programme, by providing them with an opportunity to bring their ideas into reality, experience working with a team solving problems and environmental challenges in a real life situation, and finally achieving exposure to potential clients, employers and peers, as the final result is celebrated through an opening event, publications and by thousands of visitors to Brick Bay’s sculpture trail during the exhibition period.
The deadline for Proposals is midnight 1 February 2019.
Full details of the Call for Proposal can be found on the Brick Bay Sculpture Trust website (https://www.brickbaysculpture.co.nz/brick-bay-folly-2019).
