2015 Dulux Colour Awards

Here’s an opportunity for New Zealand’s future designers and architects to make a name for themselves – in colour.

The 2015 Dulux Colour Awards foster the creative use of colour in architecture and interior design. This year marks the 29th year of the awards which recognise outstanding projects from talented architects and designers – including those still studying.

In 2015, there are some great changes to improve the Dulux Colour Awards.  A dedicated New Zealand judge has been appointed and the applications process has been simplified to an easy online process.

There are nine entry categories in the 2015 Dulux Colour Awards and the one Supreme Award is selected from among the category winners

In 2015 four new categories have been added – Commercial Interior – Workplace and Retail; Commercial Interior – Public and Hospitality; Installations & Events and International.

New Zealand designer Simon James is judge for all interior and exterior award categories. Auckland-based Simon James develops and makes innovative contemporary furniture for both residential and commercial markets.

He is also the co-founder and creative director of contemporary lighting and furniture company Resident. His work has been exhibited in a number of key design markets offshore including Tokyo, New York and Milan.

Your student architects and designers are invited to demonstrate their imaginative use of colour with entries for the 2015 awards.
