Imagining the state of the kingdom in the Song of Songs
INVITATION TO GAPS LECTURE
Imagining the state of the
kingdom in the Song of Songs
John Lewis, MArch (Auck), PhD (Otago), ANZIA
This topic advances aspects of the June lecture
(‘Morality of Cities’), and should connect with
later topics in September and November.
The kingdom, and Song, are of Solomon, king
of Israel (971‒931 BC). The Song is important in
literature and theology―can we make sense of it?
See attached notice, and website, for fuller description.
