Volcanoes and Wetlands
Jeremy Treadwell
This project is prompted initially by the current drought conditions affecting the southeast and north of the country. This water shortage is, in part, brought about by extreme seasonal weather but its effects are exacerbated by the over use and pollution of the areas’ water resource mainly by intensive dairy farming. The national effect of this abuse is that many New Zealand rivers are un- swimmable or toxic or both.
